An anniversary is a time to celebrate the joys of today, the memories of yesterday, and the hopes of tomorrow

One year has flown by and I can't believe a year ago we said our "I do's". I can still remember the night my husband proposed and the roller coaster of emotions that I was going through while we were planning our wedding. I couldn't wait for the day to arrive and when it finally did, I loved every moment of it. I wish I could re-live that day again but since that is impossible, for now I will keep it in my memories.


A year later, we have managed to get the hang of the married life which wasn't very different from what we were already use to. We had been dating for about eight years and we were already aware of habits and knew each other very well. The big change was moving in together and after a few months of being married we were blessed to finally find our first home.


After dating for so long, the question was always "when are you getting married"? We have passed through that stage of our life and now what is next? Hopefully a baby in the near future but there is no rush.


So what did we do for our anniversary? Well we kept it pretty simple. We asked for the day off, as it fell on a Monday. We relaxed most of the day and later in the day we went out for dinner and a movie. We dined at Spaghetti Warehouse in the Downtown area & then enjoyed the "Hunger Games" movie.

We will be taking a trip in a few days to continue our anniversary celebration. We have booked our vacation in Destin, Florida. My husband has been wanting to go on a road trip and we've heard such good things about Destin. Their beautiful white sand and clear blue water, ahh how relaxing. We haven't been on a real trip in the last two years, so it's definitely time for some fun in the sun. We can not wait to get away and to have some alone time.


My next blog will definitely be about our wonderful vacation. Countdown: 3 days to go!!!!
